Is it hot in here, or is it just shirtless Zayn Malik?

Today marks the official start of the summer season, and what better way to celebrate the coming days of heat and relaxation than with the super sexy news that R&B singer and former One Direction band member Zayn Malik is the face of Paper magazine's Summer 2016 issue?

And, as expected, the resulting photoshoot for said cover produced some seriously swoon-worthy images of the 23-year-old superstar and "Pillowtalk" singer.

As if picturing him in various stages of undress wasn't already enough to drive his fans insane, Zayn also went on the record to talk about his shifting image, and how the music on his debut album Mind of Mine now reflects a more mature, sexier side of him, versus the teen popster he crafted during his 1D days.

"It wasn't a conscious decision to make [the album] sexual or refer to sex," Zayn told Paper. "But I just found out that a lot of situations that I was in were quite sexual situations — all of the time. I enjoyed singing about [sex], clearly."
