Raymond Braun, YouTube’s LGBT marketing lead and one of last year’s Forbes 30 Under 30, is taking a break from the hustle and bustle of office life. He's decided to use the popular video service he already knows and loves to create a new platform for LGBT youth to share their stories.

His new, self-titled YouTube channel, which he describes as “a space for LGBT teens to find support, community, and entertainment online,” launched this week, and the social media maven is already on his way to making a name for himself among vloggers.

“I’m passionate about how the LGBT community comes together on YouTube, particularly as a resource for young people who feel isolated or disconnected, as I did when I was younger.” (Braun)

Braun’s channel already has two videos, the first being a short introduction to his new project and the second being a vlog he did while rallying on the steps of the Supreme Court with fellow gay YouTuber Aaron Rhodes for the historic hearings on same-sex marriage.

“YouTube continually inspires me because we provide a platform and a voice to everyone, especially underserved communities.” (Braun)
