10 Times Women Rocked a Bow Tie in Honor of National Bow Tie Day

These women in bow ties will make you want to bust yours out, or put one on somebody else.

Apparently there's a day for everything that ever existed in life and today is National Bow Tie Day. But we're not complaining because that gave us a reason to pull together a bunch of photos of women looking fierce in bow ties.

Enjoy the pics, and maybe they'll inspire you to whip out your bow tie for a dress up night.

Lea DeLaria is the gold standard bow tie bearer.

We never said it had to be tied. Thank you for this look, Angelina Jolie.

A bow tie AND suspenders, Janelle Monae? STOP. We can't take how good this is.

Emily Blunt, Cate Blanchett, and Zhou Xun are selling watches, but we can't get past those ties!

Director Kimberly Peirce is perfection in her bow tie.

It's a tie, it's in a bow. This works for us, Jane Lynch.

The same goes for Ellen in this loose tie.

Tina Fey rocks an untied sparkly bow tie at the Golden Globes and we're pretty sure this is where all of the queer girls watching lost the ability to focus on anything else that happend that night.

Model Erika Linder need never be on the outside looking in wearing that outfit.

Madonna channels Marlene Dietrich a la Morocco -- always a classic.
