Ellen Page is the young lesbian's favorite person right now, so why wouldn't you want to binge watch her entire filmography? You should! But first, watch all the trailers, and see where you want to start!
1. Freeheld (2015)
Not only is this Ellen Page's first role playing a lesbian after she came out, but it tells Laurel Hester's story which changed domestic partnership laws forever. The movie is not out yet, but we know you'll want to see it!
2. Into The Forest (2015)
An adaptation of Jean Hegland's novel about two sisters who rely on each other as they struggle through the apocalypse. More importantly, Evan Rachel Wood plays her sister in it. The film is not out yet, but you'll be there. So will we.
3. Tiny Detectives (2014)
Ellen Page and Kate Mara's Funny Or Die Short starring as tiny -- as in short -- detectives. A must-watch.
4. X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)
Although she isn't given enough screentime, this X-Men movie is one of the best X-Men movies out, and definitely worth watching (especially if you choose to do it in order, and you get to end with this).
5. The East (2013)
Ellen Page starring with Alexander Skarsgård as the members of an anarchist group that discreetly attacks mega corporations is a wonderful option for when you are hungry for a political thriller.
6. Touchy Feely (2013)
Ellen plays the antagonist niece in this indie about a massage therapist who becomes phobic about human touch.
7. To Rome With Love (2012)
"I think it's because of the sexual vibe she gives off" is how Ellen's character, Monica, is described in this Woody Allen movie.
8. Super (2011)
She plays Rainn Wilson's sidekick, Boltie. This IFC superhero comedy is SO worth your time.
9. Inception (2010)
Even with a movie as complex as Inception and Leonardo DiCaprio as the star, Ellen completely steals the show.
10. Peacock (2010)
Another thriller where Ellen stars alongside Susan Sarandon and Cillian Murphy as a survivor of a freak train accident that causes quite the wave in rural Nebraska.
11. Whip It (2009)
In case you wanted to watch Ellen and a plethora of good looking women knock the shit out of each other on roller skates, then Whip It is the film for you.
12. Smart People (2008)
A perfect example of why we love Ellen. Her intelligence and wit is at the forefront of her role in Smart People, and getting to see her play the role of an exceedingly smart Model Republican is intensely satisfying, especially with Dennis Quaid as her struggling father.
13. The Stone Angel (2007)
Ellen plays a character that mirrors Ellen Burstyn's younger character, Arlene, and is a perfect opportunity to watch her in a romantic drama that has some light comedic moments.
14. Juno (2007)
Juno doesn't even need an introduction. We all know this is her break out film and what got us to fall in love with her. Juno's sardonic banter and hilarious take on being a pregnant teenager is just perfect.
15. The Tracey Fragments (2007)
This film is dark, with a twisting plot, and it's SO worth your time. With an entire original score by Broken Social Scene, Ellen (obviously) shines in this indie film that propels forward through fragments and flashbacks.
16. An American Crime (2007)
This movie is heartbreaking and really hard to watch, especially since Ellen Page is the leading role, but being that it's based on a true story, and stacked with heavy hitters from the industry, skipping An American Crime isn't recommended.
17. X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
This is where Ellen made her debut in the X-Men movie series as Kitty Pryde (yes, Pryde is in the name of a character she's played), where she can phase, or transfer her body through solid objects. Mostly this means she runs through walls and Ellen transitions very well into this classic comic book adaptation.
18. Mouth to Mouth (2005)
If you were ever in the alternative/punk/goth/emo scene, you will find yourself being completely delighted by Mouth to Mouth. Ellen plays Sherry, a gothic girl who loses quite a lot as she comes of age in Europe.
19. Hard Candy (2005)
If you've never seen this, don't worry, there are no spoilers. All I can say is, even if you HATE thrillers, you MUST watch Hard Candy. It is where Ellen first showed her true acting talent, and it is easily one of the greatest films she's been apart of.
20. ReGenesis (2004)
This Canadian television show, as campy as it may seem, is what put Ellen Page on the map. Her role as Lilith won her a Gemini Award (Canada's equivalent of an Emmy), and is an easy watch for any thriller/sci-fi enthusiast.
21. Mrs. Ashboro's Cat (2004)
We end with Ellen Page's best made for TV movie, Mrs. Ashboro's Cat, AKA Ghost Cat, about the posessed cat that wrecks havoc on the small town she moves to. We all need to see this. You need to see this. Your parents need to see this. Your siblings (if you have any) need to see this. Thank you Ellen Page.
Now you have the master list that you and your girlfriend can snuggle up to for the next week, both falling more and more for Ellen Page. You're welcome.
