Gillian Anderson Wants You to Ask Her Out!

Film, stage, and TV actress Gillian Anderson recently opened up to the Telegraphin London about her Olivier nomination, the upcoming X-Files reboot, her Netflix thriller The Fall, and her love life in an interview for the publication. 

The beauty has her hands full these days balancing her busy work schedule with her home life, raising three kids, Piper, 20, Oscar, 8, and Felix, 6.  But, Anderson said she could find time for a little romance. 

“I’m so lucky to have such great work. I’ve got a fantastic life, I have a wonderful relationship with my kids, and there’s nothing lacking, but I’m leaning towards the idea that it’s time for somebody to be brave enough to ask me out,” she said.

And that someone could be a woman, as long as it’s “the one.” 

“I wouldn’t discount it,” she said. “I did it before and I’m not closed to that idea. To me a relationship is about loving another human being; their gender is irrelevant.”

X-Filesfans all over the globe rejoiced earlier this week when news broke about an upcoming reboot of the series, which is slated to air in 2016.  But for Anderson, her biggest achievement in 2015 was her Best Actress nomination at London’s Olivier Awards for her role in A Streetcar Named Desire.    

Although, fans of the BBC procedural The Fall may still be reeling over Anderson's kiss with The Good Wife star Archie Panjabi on that series. 

“For most of my life I’ve wanted to win an Olivier,” Anderson told The Telegraph. “It’s every young actress’s dream; these are the stage Oscars and to be considered one of four contenders is such an honor and I’m really chuffed about it.”

So, only time will tell if she ends up with a man or a woman, she’s just looking for someone brave enough to make a move.  Any takers?
