Every Christmas a star-studded movie musical adaptation hits cinemas with a bang. The Christmas before last Les Miserables became a multi-Academy Award nominee and 2014's offering, Into the Woods, looks to be shooting for nothing less. Directed by Chicago's Rob Marshall and starring an impressively A-list cast including Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, James Corden, and Tracy Ullman (to name a small few),this twisted take on our favorite fairy tale characters is definitely our new most-anticipated movie of the holiday season. This particularly dark tale has apparently had some child-friendly changes made under Disney's care, but Stephen Sondheim himself (composer/lyricist of the original hit Broadway musical, if you somehow don't know that) has assured us it's still the story we all know, love, and love to sing alone to. Check out the trailer below to get a first glimpse of the epic magic, beautiful music, and crazy cast as they begin their journeys Into the Woods...
