Litchfield’s raven haired hottie Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), who was at one point rumored to only be back for two episodes and then later four, of Orange Is the New Black’s next season, will be back for “most” of the season, Orange creator Jenji Kohan told Us magazine.
"Yes, yes, she is coming back," Kohan told Us of the former That '70 Show actress at the Writers Guild Awards on Sat. "Not the whole season, but...you'll see her for most of it."
Show runner Kohan has remained tight lipped about what to expect from the Piper (Taylor Schilling) – Alex – Larry (Jason Biggs) love triangle, although she has been vocal about the writers plans to shift story lines away from the main characters and over to the wide array of supporting characters.
At a Paley Center panel last fall, Kohan said, “as much as I love Piper and Taylor and her journey, I think people are interested in everybody’s journey."
We say YES to more Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Morello (Yael Stone), Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba), and Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), to name just a few.
The second season is expected to run 13 episodes, so a third of the season will include Prepon, which sounds much better than the one episode that was originally reported this summer.
There’s no official word yet on when the second season will be available on Netflix for your binge watching pleasure, although the word on the street is early-to-mid 2014.
