The L Word ended five years ago but their friendship lives on.
Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey continue to bring us joy through their friendship. From being on a softball team together to helping each other pack, not only are these two still helping us all cope with the ending of The L Word (we know it’s been over five years since the show has ended but it takes time to heal), but they exemplify the true art of being a bestie. Here are ten moments from instagram that Kate and Leisha proved that they win the best friends award in 2014.
10. Best friends love taking photos of each doing silly things. In this photo, Leisha snaps Kate riding down a railing. Too cute.
9. Best friends travel together and do cool stuff like boating on Lake Aarowhead on a boat named HMS Rubber Ducky.
8. Best friends love your dog as much as you love your dog, or at least will take care of your dog when you’re out of town. Kate is being the best friend and the best auntie to Leisha’s dog, Oso.
7. We’ve known that Kate and Leisha are hip from hip to hip, but they took it to another level when they went to KCRW’s Summer Nights event in Los Angeles.
6. They are on a softball team together called The Buzzsox. It kind of reminds us of that episode when Papi challenges Alice to a game of basketball and Alice called the court “the field.” We’re glad that Leisha got it right this time and is playing softball on a field with Kate.
