It's no secret that the beloved Ellen DeGeneres has a bit of a twisted streak in her, as evidenced by her penchant for scaring the crap out of her guests. You'd think that Ellen's guests would catch on and gird themselves against becoming victims of Ellen's pranks, but she seems to get them every time. In honor of Halloween here's a round up of some of the best Ellen scares over the years!

10) The latest of Ellen's scares, Nightcrawler star Jake Gyllenhaal dropped an "F" bomb on his host!

9) Julia Roberts is pretty intense. We give Ellen kudos for even attempting to scare the August: Osage County star. We fully expect Julia to retaliate with an "Eat the fish b*tch" scenario for Ellen.

8) Jennifer Aniston is tight with Ellen, so she was expecting this, but Ellen got her just the same.

7) Pop diva P!nk jumped out of her chair but she managed to keep it clean and just called Ellen a "mean meanie."

6) Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet is one of Ellen's favorite victims. He thought he was prepared this time but she got him anyway.

5) What's scarier than a Robin Thicke costume? Miley Cyrus finds out.

4) The Good Wife star Julianna Margulies hurls more than and "F" bomb on Ellen after this scare with a snake.

3) Christina Applegate's scream face is priceless.

2) Poor Richard Simmons likely needed therapy and a skinny cocktail after this scare.

1) Ellen has scared supersrat Taylor Swift at least five times, but this is the gold standard of Ellen scares!
