JoJo Siwa’s episode of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series finally aired this week, and she’s positively gushing about the experience.

News dropped earlier this year that the entertainer would be swinging by the Disney+ summer camp season as a former camper named Madison.

Madison, as it turns out, is the ex-girlfriend of Maddox (Saylor Bell Curda), a new addition to the cast this year.

“Madison, you could say she’s still in love with Maddox,” Siwa told EW. “They’re definitely broken up, but there’s still some tension between the two of them. I don’t know what their future is but the storyline between the two of them really has so much room to grow.”

Fans were excited to see Siwa jumping into the world of the Wildcats, and Siwa made it perfectly clear how much it meant to her to get to be a part of it all.

“I remember when I first got the ask, I immediately was like, ‘Yes. Don’t know when, don’t know who, don’t know how, but yes, make it happen,’ to my team,” she recalled in conversation with ET. “And they did. It was honestly some of the most fun days of my life while filming this show.”

Siwa also gushed over working with Curda, noting that they “bonded so quickly” right on the very first day.

“We both decided that if we want to make this as great as possible, we’re just going to have to dive into the deep end head-first. We both did and we both committed. And it worked,” she said.

It’s still TBD whether Siwa will be returning for more episodes in season four or if Maddox will even be around for that to make sense. However, she’s already banging the drum at Disney making it known that she would love to come back.

“Because not only is it the coolest show to be a part of, but it also is just such a great environment to be immersed in that I would do anything,” she admitted.

New episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season three become available every Wednesday on Disney+.
