The latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under season two featured the one and only Snatch Game – and as expected, we got both good and bad celebrity impersonations from this cast of queens.
Last year, the inaugural season of Down Under had a divisive Snatch Game episode that left many fans feeling a bit disappointed. The challenge featured celebrity impersonations from Anita Wigl’it (as Elizabeth II), Art Simone (as Bindi Irwin), Coco Jumbo (as Lizzo), Elektra Shock (as Catherine O’Hara), Etcetera Etcetera (as Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton), Karen from Finance (as Dolly Parton), Kita Mean (as Dr. Seuss), Maxi Shield (as Magda Szubanski), and Scarlet Adams (as Jennifer Coolidge).
In the end, Wigl’it was deemed the winner of the first-ever Snatch Game of Drag Race Down Under, whereas Jumbo and Simone fell into the bottom two. To top it all off, the episode ended with the very unexpected elimination of Australian drag legend Art Simone.
This year, certain queens stuck to tradition and impersonated either Australian or New Zealander celebrities for the Snatch Game. However, other Down Under contestants felt more comfortable impersonating certain celebs that weren’t necessarily tied to those countries. Like most Snatch Games on RuPaul’s Drag Race, this episode had a few hits and a few misses – which is what audiences have come to expect from this maxi challenge over the years.
Scroll through to check out which celebrities were impersonated by the queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under season two, which airs every Saturday on WOW Presents Plus.
Beverly Kills impersonated Val Garland, who is best known for appearing as a judge on the reality series Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star. Unfortunately, Kills’ performance didn’t exactly work and she ended up landing in the bottom two.
In season nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Alexis Michelle won the Snatch Game with her impersonation of Liza Minnelli. Hannah Conda also chose to impersonate the iconic Liza-with-a-Z, which was once again very well-received by the judges. Ultimately, Conda was deemed the winner of this Snatch Game.
After being perceived as an obvious frontrunner but failing to impress the Drag Race judges in past challenges, Kween Kong felt the extra pressure to show up in the competition this week. Unfortunately, though, Kong’s performance in the Snatch Game only landed her a “safe” spot.

Minnie Cooper’s Snatch Game performance as Ellen DeGeneres didn’t work – and it landed her in the bottom two alongside Kills. In the end, Cooper and Kills lip synced against each other to the tune of “Dance in the Dark” by Lady Gaga, and Cooper was told to sashay away.
Doing a male character in the Snatch Game used to be a controversial thing, but that’s long gone now. As a result, Molly Poppinz chose Orville Peck as her Snatch Game character. Poppinz was able to avoid lip syncing for her life, but her performance didn’t work and she received a lot of negative critiques from the judges.
Spankie Jackzon impersonated the character of Dame Edna Everage (which is played by comedian Barry Humphries). Overall, this was a strong performance that landed Jackzon a spot in the top three of the week.
Yuri Guaii was the other queen who landed in the top three of the Snatch Game. Guaii impersonated Courtney Love, and the Down Under judges definitely enjoyed what she served.
