"#DreamsComeTrue"

Euphoria is always serving us the wildest scenes, but Eric Dane may have broken Twitter with an ass-eating encounter in the most recent episode — and the object of his character’s affections has come forward online to talk about it.

Dane plays Cal Jacobs in the show, a strict father who is secretly having all sorts of hookups on the side. Recently, that included spending some quality time with a random character sitting on his face, a graphic scene that left him trending on Twitter.

The chatter swept through social media enough that the other man involved in the scene stepped forward to identify himself and answer some questions.

“It was me,” Christin Byrdsong tweeted alongside a photo with him and Dane and an understandable number of widely grinning emojis. “#DreamsComeTrue.”

Byrdsong called Dane a “childhood crush/actor inspiration” and recalled how he spent time on set talking to him about Charmed, which Dane was on for a short run in 2003.

“As soon as I walked up to him I said ‘you and phoebe totally could have worked that out if you’d tried harder,’” he joked.

More importantly, he took some time to explain the mechanics and precautions that go into filming scenes like that, from having an intimacy coordinator on set to making sure there isn’t actually any sexual contact between actors during the scene.

Ultimately, Byrdsong says he “felt completely safe, heard, and respected,” and described the whole experience as a dream come true. And he definitely made a whole mess of people on social media jealous over getting to film a fake sex scene with Eric Dane.
