We just keep winning, Élite stans!
The upcoming fourth season of Netflix's messy, murderous, and queer AF teen drama series just wrapped filming late last year, and even though an air date hasn't even been announced just yet for the highly-anticipated fourth batch of episodes, the streaming giant just announced that Élite will also be coming back for a fifth season! Yes, EVEN MORE Omander content is coming our way for (at least) the next two television seasons!!
Netflix shared the news on Twitter earlier today!
"
Élite fans, get ready for more because the show has been renewed for a fifth season!" they wrote. "(And before you ask...no, Season 4 has not premiered yet.)"
In addition to the season 5 renewal news, two new cast members will also be joining the show! Brazilian heartthrob André Lamoglia and Argentinian actress Valentina Zenere will now also be roaming the already-beautiful halls of Las Encinas!
Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Mina El Hammani (Nadia), Danna Paola Lucrecia (Lu), Ester Expósito (Carla), Álvaro Rico (Polo), and Jorge López's (Valerio) beautiful faces in future Élite episodes any time soon, but this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who is already all caught up with the show's first three seasons. All of the aforementioned characters and their arcs were pretty much wrapped up and completed by the end of season three — but it's still sad to see!
Still, we can't wait for what kinds of chaos and drama the new fourth and fifth seasons have in store for us, and although no official date has been announced for production to start on Élite season 5, trust us when we say we're excited AF for the day when it finally happens!
The first three seasons of Élite are currently streaming on Netflix!
