Gender-nonconforming actor Dua Saleh is joining season three of Netflix's hilarious (and queer-inclusive) teen series Sex Education!
Selah, a poet and singer/songwriter who uses they/he pronouns, will soon be walking the halls of Moordale High playing a student named Cal, who "instantly clashes" with the new headmistress’s vision for the school, PinkNews reports. This is Selah's TV debut as well as the first time the popular Netflix series has had a non-binary character in its cast.
Other stars joining Sex Education's third season include Girls star Jemima Kirke in the role of Moordale High’s new headmistress, Hope, and Harry Potter franchise actor Jason Isaacs as Peter, "Mr. Groff’s more successful/less modest older brother."
Production on Season 3 began earlier this month and aims for a 2021 premiere date.
