Bayside is back for a whole new generation!

A new trailer for the rebooted version of the classic '90s teen sitcom Saved by the Bell just dropped this week, and while we get to see the familiar faces of OG cast members Elizabeth Berkeley and Mario Lopez roaming the halls of Bayside as teachers, it's also nice to see a new group of Tigers make their mark, including former Disney Channel star and out trans actress Josie Totah

From the looks of the new teaser, Josie plays a stylish AF queen bee named Lexie, and when she isn't serving looks, she'll be serving hilarious one-liners and being seriously shady.

"Getting to play a transgender role on screen is obviously very rare. There’s almost zero representation of people in the trans community. Growing up as a young trans girl, I feel that never seeing myself [on TV] made me never feel truly accepted by the world," Josie told the Gay Times about the impact her character Lexie will have on the current TV landscape.

"She’s in theater, evil, and the most popular girl in school," she continued. "She just happens to be transgender and I feel that getting to that is an incredible opportunity and I can’t wait for people to see themselves on screen in that way."

Saved by the Bell premieres on Peacock later this year! Watch the trailer in the video below!
