We've really been missing the Simonverse!

Hulu just released the trailer for their highly-anticipated romantic, gay, teen series, Love, Victor

The trailer begins with Victor (Michael Cimino) writing an email to Simon (Nick Robinson), asking for advice before he moves from Texas to Atlanta. He’s nervous about the challenges that lie ahead, like the journey of self-discovery and learning more about himself and his sexual orientation. From the looks of it, the series seems to follow the same warm feeling of the film, with that splash of angst we all secretly are hoping for!

Love, Victor takes place at Simon's same school, Creekwood High, and centers around Victor Salazar—a closeted 16-year-old who is writing letters to Simon, who will be narrating the series. (One can hope that he shows up to give Victor some guidance on how to navigate what he’s going through!) There are ups and downs (because let’s face it, dating is hard, but dating while you’re trying to figure out your sexuality is even harder), and it looks like Victor is going to have to learn the hard way. One of the stands out of the trailer is that Simon's story isn’t the only type of coming-out story. Love, Victor is going to show viewers how difficult it is to come out as LGBTQ+ within families of different cultures. And before you start doubting yourself, yes, that was Bram, Simon’s love interest. What could he possibly be doing in Victor’s story? I guess we'll just have to wait and see if any more cameos happen in the series!

Just in time for Pride Month, the entire 10-episode first season of Love, Victor premieres on Hulu on June 19! Watch the official trailer in the video below!
