Demi Lovato's Got a Mysterious Role on the Final Will & Grace Season
We love this for her.
As absolutely devastated as we are that Will & Grace is coming to an end YET AGAIN, it’s looking like the (latest) final season of the show is going to go out with a bang.
Demi Lovato’s locked down a guest starring role for season three (or season 11, depending on how you look at it) of our fave gay sitcom.
Last week she shared a photo of her on in the titular duo’s apartment, joking that the show is now “Will & Grace & Demi.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, the “Cool for the Summer” singer will pop up on three episodes next season, playing “the role of Jenny, a guarded gal who comes into the life of Will (Eric McCormack) in an unexpected way.”
Considering a big storyline for Will’s BFF Jack in the original run of the show was discovering an earlier stint as a sperm donor resulted in a kid who wanted to get to know his dad, it seems unlikely that the “unexpected way” Demi’s character enters his life is as a surprise daughter. And obviously she’s not playing a love interest, so we’re excited to find out what kind of shenanigans bring her into the gang.
While much about the 18-episode final season is understandably still being kept under wraps, we also know that Matt Bomer will be reprising his role as Will’s boyfriend, news anchor McCoy Whitman. (Maybe Demi is HIS surprise kid??)
Also confirmed to return for the final season are Vanessa Bayer, who played a baker that didn’t want to make a MAGA cake for Karen Walker in season one/nine, and Blythe Danner, who has guest starred as Will’s mother for the entire life of the show.
Will & Grace is currently in the middle of filming the final episodes and is expected to premiere in early 2020.
