HBO is branching into teen dramas with its newest series Euphoria

Produced by Drake, the new show is lead by Spider-Man: Homecoming star Zendaya.

"If I could be a different person, I would," she says in the new teaser trailer. "Not because I want it. Because they do."

We know the series will have eight episodes but not much is known about the plot besides its summary that reads: "The show follows a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship."

But how queer is it?

Trans activist and actor Hunter Schafer is reportedly playing a transgender character named Jules in the series. And in the trailer, Zendaya presses her head against another woman's but it's unclear if her character—or anyone else's—will be LGB. But if you're making a teen drama in the year 2019, we can safely expect some sexual fluidity at least.

Euphoria premieres June 18 on HBO. Watch the teaser trailer below.
