Every show's reunion should be a rap battle.
TNT’s Drop the Mic hosted a Glee reunion last night and the burns were coming in hot.
It was three vs three as Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), and Heather Morris (Brittany) faced off against Amber Riley (Mercedes), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike), and Becca Tobin (Kitty).
As much as we love them, they...aren’t exactly the Glee cast members that immediately moved onto bigger and better things after the show (with the possible exception of Shum), and that fact was front and center throughout the rap battle.
“And you said you quit Hollywood — well that seems odd, because I’m pretty sure to quit, you need to first have a job,” Shum spit at Morris in one of the better disses of the night.
Also up for grabs were Shum’s questionable singing skills, McHale’s buffing up post-Glee, and, of course, how the later version of New Directions will never be as iconic as the original.
We won’t ruin the results for you, but if you were ever a Gleek, this is definitely a must-see.
Though, can we get some combination of Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Naya Rivera up on this next?? Please?? (And bring back Heather while you're at it, thanks, Drop the Mic!)
