New L Word: Gen Q Trailer: Shane Still Wants to F*ck Alice's Mom
Some things never change.
The L Word: Generation Q has released possibly its best trailer yet.
The revival of one of the most iconic queer series in television history has been slowly teasing out info and clips to get us ready for its upcoming 8 episode return in December. And while the first teaser trailer was a nostalgia-fest just reminding us some of the characters we love are coming back to us at long last, and the first full-length trailer introduced us to the new characters, this latest one goes a little bit further into the heart of what the new season will be bringing us.
Our latest glimpse into the 2019 L Word revolves around the relationships among all the women, both friendship and romantic. New characters are introduced to one another, we get our first glimpse of Sense8 fan fave Jamie Clayton, oh, and Shane confirms that she totally still has the hots for Alice’s mom.
We're still missing glimpses of any returning guest stars from the original run of the show, but a little anticipation never hurt anybody, and the nostalgia is already running high as it is.
But while that may be the case, the trailers have gradually been guiding us to open our hearts to the new characters, rather than relying purely on our love of ogs Bette, Alice, and Shane. And while time will tell if the show finds a decent balance between the old and the new, our fingers are crossed, because this is starting to look more promising than we ever dared to hope.
The L Word: Generation Q is hitting Showtime starting on December 8.
