Netflix's upcoming series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is on it's way to a small screen near you, with a new LGBT character!
The dark and gritty reboot of the beloved Sabrina the Teenage Witch series from the '90s (based on the Archie Comic's character) will follow the 16-year-old as she chooses between the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends.
Actor Chance Perdomo plays Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina's cousin who's visiting from England and who Perdomo describes as a "bastardized magical love-child of David Bowie & Jimmy Hendrix."
"Placed under house-arrest by the Witches Council, Ambrose is forbidden from leaving the funeral home where he lives with the Spellman women," reads his character description. "Witty, puckish, and pan-sexual, he is one of Sabrina’s partners in crime, always up for mischief."
Pansexuality is becoming a much more common label as celebrities like Janelle Monáe and Brendon Urie are using it to come out. It's understood as a sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction towards a person regardless of their gender identity or orientation, so there's less importance on the physical and gender binary and more so on who a person truly is.
Hopefully, Ambrose's romantic life is actually explored in the series and we get some non-hetero romances! And after checking out his Instagram, is it too much to hope for a sex scene?
Chilling Adventures of Sabrinapremieres October 26 on Netflix!
