Earlier this morning, House of Cards’ star Robin Wright spoke out for the first time about the allegations of sexual harassment and assault leveled against her former co-star, Kevin Spacey.
Claiming a strictly professional relationship with Spacey, Wright told NBC’s Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, “I think we were all surprised, of course, and ultimately saddened.”
The actress continued, “I don’t even know how to reach him. Kevin and I knew each other between ‘action’ and ‘cut,’ and in between setups where we would giggle. I didn’t know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is.”
The sixth and final season of House of Cards is set to debut this fall, with Wright's character, Claire Underwood, playing the President of the United States. Watch the teaser below.
