Ben Platt & Barbara Streisand Are Starring in Ryan Murphy's New Musical, Political Netflix Series

The devil works hard, but Ryan Murphy is working harder.
With 9-1-1, American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Feud, Pose, American Horror Story, and his Broadway debut with Boys in the Band, it seems like Ryan Murphy is involved with everything these days, including Netflix's upcoming musical comedy, The Politician.
The hour-long dramedy will star Pitch Perfect and Dear Evan Hansen's Ben Platt and is reportedly working on signing recurring roles with Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow. The Politician will follow Payton (Platt), a rich Santa Barbara resident who decides he's going to enter the politics game. Each season will focus on a different political race with several musical numbers in each episode. Not sure exactly how that'll work out, but Netflix has already ordered two seasons.
The Politician begins filming this summer. Will you be watching?
