Although nothing concrete has been announced, there's talk making its way around the internet about former Olympian and transgender socialite Caitlyn Jenner joining the cast for a future season of Bravo's hit reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Rumors about Jenner becoming a housewife have been circulating the web as early as 2015, but after the cancelation of her E! reality docuseries I Am Cait late last year, it seems like a recurring role on RHOBH could very well be a possibility.
As NewNowNext points out, this wouldn't be the first time a trans person has made an appearance on a Real Housewives franchise. Star actress Amiyah Scott was supposed to be the first trans cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she eventually dropped out of the series because she didn't feel producers were portraying the trans community in a respectful and positive way. Additionally, trans model Lauren Foster made a brief appearance on the now defunct The Real Housewives of Miami series.
We'll just have to wait and see if the rumors are true, but what we do know for sure is that, considering her experience on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, having Caitlyn Jenner as a housewife would make for some must-watch reality TV. (What do you think her tagline would be??)
