New channel, new time, and most importantly, new queens!
Logo's NewNowNext announced this morning that season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race will premiere on Friday, March 24 at 8/7c on VH1. That's just over three weeks until it'll be five months since I've thrown a drink at a television!
According to Pamela Post, Logo's SVP of Original Programming & Development, Drag Race reportedly made the shift to VH1, which will air the show in HD, for fan accessibility.
“Airing the show on VH1 in HD will allow more fans to experience the energy, heart and talent these fierce Queens bring to the stage every week,” she said.
*Tongue pops in solidarity.*
Logo also announced "Race to the Nines," a non-stop marathon of every episode of Drag Race beginning Sunday, March 17 at 8/7c. If you've needed some more time to fume over Katya's loss last season, now's your chance to vent.
So wash your wigs, stock up on smudge resistant lipstick, run on over to Target for some Elmer's Glue, and get ready for another season of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent! Oh, and Lady Gaga, who's set for a guest appearance on the season premiere!
