Not only did the Alvarez family spend the whole season planning it, but the big bash coincided with Elena’s poignant coming out story. The news was poorly received by her father, putting a damper on her special day. But thanks to her loving mom, grandma, and little brother, Elena had a sweet and happy ending after all.
