ABC's comedy staple Modern Family has given a considerable amount of positive representation to LGBT people over its successful 9 season run.
On Wednesday, actress Sarah Hyland (who plays Haley Dunphy in the primary cast) confirmed a circulating fan theory about her character's sexuality. After a fan tweeted the 26-year-old inquiring about further verification on this question, Hyland responded by stating that she believes her character to be bisexual.

Though there has not yet been any further confirmation from the showrunners or writers as to Haley's sexuality, we 100% back Hyland's creative authority for her character.
Let's hope that the future of Haley's story will involve a female love interest!
