Pitcairn Island legalized gay marriage … well, actually they legalized it on May 15, but the tiny island’s wifi was having technical issues, so the mainland just received the news.island

Pitcairn is off the coast of New Zealand and takes more than two days to get to by boat. The tropical island is only two-square miles and boasts a whopping 48 residents and zero gay couples. Rodeny Coome, the national director of Australian Marriage Equality stated that this decision “shows how much the islanders value equality and inclusion … I could imagine some couples from off the island might find it a romantic destination, including Australians who can’t marry in their own country.”

Not only is this an epic location for a destination wedding, but the island offers free land to any people who want to make Pitcairn their full-time home. My tickets are booked, now I need a husband.
