You better werk!
Best known for competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race and cohosting We’re Here, Eureka recently took a big step in her gender journey.
On Thursday, March 9, Eureka shared a new Instagram carousel showing a document detailing her legal name change to Eureka D. Huggard. The photo also shows that her gender maker has been updated from male to female. Eureka wrote in the caption:
“International Women’s Day! In the eyes of God and Now the Law! I’m a woman!”
Eureka first gathered worldwide attention when she was cast in season nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race. However, she unfortunately had to leave that season due to an injury. Upon coming back to compete on Drag Race season 10, Eureka made it all the way to the finale and was ultimately a runner-up alongside fellow Tennessee queen Kameron Michaels. Eureka’s latest stint in the series took place on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6, where she once again finished as a finalist.
In between her times on Drag Race, Eureka launched a brand-new series on HBO, We’re Here, alongside Bob the Drag Queen and Shangela. Three seasons later, We’re Here has proven to be one of the most compelling and important shows on television.
We couldn’t be happier for Eureka to be making such incredible strides in her career!
