Watching Jinkx Monsoon's meteoric rise on Broadway has been glorious to behold. And she’s just getting started.

After absolutely crushing it in her role of Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago then blowing audiences away again as Audrey in the Off-Broadway revival ofLittle Shop of Horrors, the dragstar is set to trod the boards again this time in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance — albeit under the new title Pirates! The Penzance Musical.

This time Jinkx will star as a pirate maid named Ruth, who previously was brought to life by Angela Lansbury in the film adaptation of the musical. Ruth is the hearing-impaired apprentice of Frederic to thePirate King who grew up to be a buccaneer. Jinkx will be playing opposite David Hyde Pierce and Ramin Karimloo.

Jinkx made the announcement via her social media.

We can't help but think she’ll be one step closer to her EGOT! Pirates! Begins its run at the Todd Haimes Theatre on April 4 - June 2
