Ben Platt is once again giving us hope through music!
The gay singer, who originated the role of Evan Hansen on Broadway, reprised the part in a digital fundraiser hosted by James Corden for the CDC Foundation and Feed the Children.
Platt led members of the current Broadway and touring productions of Dear Evan Hansen Monday in a singing-from-home rendition of "You Will Be Found," one of the showstopping numbers from the musical written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Corden, who hosted the Homefest: A Late Late Show Special, said the song "sums up how I feel so much of the day and kind of what I’m trying to say to you right now.”
In addition to Platt, Gabrielle Carruba, Jessica Sherman, Jared Goldsmith, Ivan Hernandez, Jessica Phillips, Jordan Fisher, Stephen Christopher Anthony, Ciara Alyse Harris, Stephanie La Rochelle, Christiane Noll, and Claire Rankin performed in the clip, reports Playbill.
As the world hunkers down due to stay-at-home orders, Platt has used his skills as an entertainer to provide a much-needed distraction on social media. In March, he threw a "#QuaranTunes Virtual Dance Party" with Noah Galvin and Kathryn Gallagher.
