WATCH: Tonight's Empire Reveals a Bisexual Character
It's all heating up on Empire!
Fox’s new juggernaut, Empire, from openly gay writers Danny Strong and Lee Daniels, and lesbian showrunner Ilene Chaiken (The L Word), has already tackled the subject of homophobia, pitting Terrence Howard’s homophobic dad against his gay son (Jussie Smollett). Tonight the series reveals a bisexual female character in a subplot.
SPOILER:
One of Empire’s patriarch Lucious Lyon’s other sons, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray), who is poised for music stardom, has no shortage of available ladies surrounding him when he discovers, via the internet (where else?), that his girl Tiana (Serayah) is hooking up with a woman.
You may recognize America’s Next Top Model contestant (and Raven Symone’s girlfriend) AzMarie as part of Hakeem’s entourage.
