We first fell for Diana Nyad when she swam from Cuba to Florida at the ripe age of 64 last fall. Now, the graceful swimmer is stealing our hearts all over again on the latest season of Dancing with the Stars.
On last night's premiere, Nyad and her professional dancer partner, Henry Byalikov, danced the foxtrot to Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea," earning a score of 18 out of a possible 30 - and the nickname of the "Million Dollar Mermaid" from judge Bruno Tonioli.
Nyad's score was on the low side of the scale for the first night, but the judges seemed impressed with her potential, with Carrie Ann Inaba calling her a "slowly opening flower."
"You still haven't found your footing," Tonioli said. "But you actually are a performer. You're selling it."
