Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) announced in a press release that its Board of Governors has voted to suspend the league’s 2012 season in order to focus on the resolution of pending legal issues. The suspension couldn’t come at a worse time for the sport. Women’s soccer has experienced a huge bump in interest and support, and by extension TV ratings, after the US Women’s Soccer team reached the finals at the 2011 World Cup.

With College basketball over and done it’s time to look at the WNBA season. Of the 12 teams that comprise the WNBA, the LA Sparks (LA Lakers sister team) continues to be the most dynamic team of them all. They hold two national titles (2001 & 2002), 3 conference titles, made 10 playoff appearances in 13 seasons, and rank 1^st in all time win percentage (.626).

Thanksgiving, football and booze. Nothing beats sitting on the couch with the boys watching a few games, tossing a few back, trying not to doze off before dinner is served because you were up at the ass-crack of dawn playing the infamous Turkey Bowl.
