With four debates, and hours worth of questions and answers, the words "gay" or "lesbian" never broke through. The closest anyone ever came to bringing up LGBT issues came during the first debate when President Obama listed repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy among accomplishments he said were made on behalf of the middle class. But DADT wasn't raised during Monday's last debate, which focused on foreign policy, despite its effect on the military.

It was Diana's birthday, and the topic of discussion at her surprise party was sex drive. With a mix of lesbian, gay, and otherwise identified people in attendance, everyone agreed that if they could squeeze in a mid-week quickie without the time-consuming set-up, they would. It’s harder for queers to have quickies--we’re too good at sex to have it fast. We like the build-up.

Lip Service follows the lives of six lesbian women living in Glasgow, Scotland. Already being hailed as the “British L Word,” the six-part drama has been described as “a bold new drama in contemporary Glasgow. Lip Service creator, Harriet Braun, says she hopes her latest drama is authentic to lesbian viewers and their lives.  Braun says it was important to her that the main lesbian characters Cat, Frankie, Lou and Tess, played by Laura Fraser, Ruta Gedmintas, Roxanne McKee and Fiona Button respectively, came across as authentic to a lesbian audience.
