The 'Jersey Shore' Girls Are Definitely Queer

So here’s the deal: I get that Jersey Shore is the reality show you love to hate. But in this episode, Deena and Snookie have a marathon makeout session that’s so lengthy, explicit, and intimate that the other cast mates were uncomfortable. Viewers who read subtext will see that at least one Jersey girl is coming out. If this week’s episode is any indication, Deena is more than just curious about other women.

Video: Brave Palm Springs Lesbian Police Officers on Coming Out at Work

We would like to take a moment to thank the very brave lesbian police officers of the city of Palm Springs for their honest disclosure regarding workplace insecurities. Striving to feel equal while on duty is the last thing a police officer wants to think about while running after a perpetrator or pulling over an armed suspect. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable questions, stares and feelings involved do not always know the appropriate time to pop up.

NPR Reports on LGBT Homeless Youth

Pretty Little Midseason Finale: Liars at their Best

I am addicted to "Pretty Little Liars," ABC Family’s newest teen dramathon, based on Sara Shepard’s books of the same name. It’s difficult pin down what exactly is so deliciously irresistible about Pretty Little Liars. At first I was deeply uncomfortable with the fact that it seemed the show was putting Shay Mitchell's character, Emily’s bisexuality on the same level of negativity as the other girls’ morally wrong and seriously illegal behavior. The show stars Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Trolan Avery Bellasario and Shay Mitchell.
