Now that the “G” in LGBT has gone totally mainstream (think Modern Family’s “normal” gay couple and the Elton John-adopts-a-baby Us Weekly cover), fashionistas are looking to accessorize with “edgier” sexualities. We’ve already reported on Givenchy booking trans model Lea T. for their fall/winter campaign and Jean-Paul Gaultier’s same-sex bait-and-switch kiss advertisements with androgynous male model Andrej Pejic, so we pretty much figured that “T” would be the new “G” for 2011. Now Interview magazine has gone and thrown the L-word back into the mix with this racy editorial shoot in their March issue—which is one of the sultriest we’ve seen since the height of ‘90s “lesbian chic.” Still, we have to wonder what Interview’s motivation was.
