The trailer has dropped for director Anne Renton’s The Perfect Family, the film festival hit that stars Kathleen Turner, Eileen Cleary, a Catholic mom vying for the title of Catholic Woman of the Year. Bones’ Emily Deschanel plays Eileen’s lesbian daughter in throes of planning her wedding to her partner, played by Angelique Cabral, thereby hindering Eileen’s shot at the title.

The 29th annual Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Outfest, wrapped up with an awards gala to honor the most thought-provoking, honest, creative work from our talented community. Catherine Opie, Lisa Udelson, Madeline Olnek, Marie Losier, and Mitsuyo Miyazaki were among the filmmakers recognized for their compelling achievements at this year’s Outfest.
