Our favorite queer vampire series is coming back for season 2!

The Real L Word is back for another round of love, lust, parties, sex, beautiful women, life and drama. Whitney is back for a second season and is bringing her drama with her. This time around, this “untamed lover of life” is really going to focus and work on advancing her career. She’s going to have to get it together, though, because she’ll be going through this journey without her former cast mates Nikki, Jill, Tracy, Mikey and Rose. I’m sure tons of you are disappointed to see some of your faves leave The Real L Word, but with this new season come new faces. And with new faces,… brand spankin’ new drama. Look for Whitney's old fling Romi plus newcomers Claire, Francine, Sajdah, Kaci and Cory.

The Diversity Awards, whose purpose also serves to promote and enhance even greater opportunities for all cultures to bring their stories and perspectives to the screen. Glee wins Favorite New Television Cast Ensemble with Chris Colfer as the "gay kid," out lesbian Jane Lynch is the straight cheerleading coach, Kevin McHale is disabled, and Mark Salling is the mohawked "good" Jew.

I don't think any lesbian in the Los Angeles area can say she doesn't know about The Real L Word. I might even daresay there aren't any lesbians in the country who haven't at least heard about creator Ilene Chaiken's new reality show. Not so ironically, it is a complaint many viewers had with the show's predecessor as well. Critics question the lack of diversity in Chaiken's new show, and wondered where the diversity was for the first seasons of the original L Word.Many suspected Chaiken's addition of a black and Latina character in the later seasons of her first show were in response to claims that the show lacked ethnic diversity.
