New Poll Finds Half of Americans Would Support A Gay President

Half of Americans said they could support an openly gay or lesbian president of the United States, a new poll found Monday. The 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll revealed that support for equality is on the rise. 50% of respondents said they would support an openly gay or lesbian person to serve as president. 44% were opposed. The question was posed in connection to the military's plans with "Don't ask, don't tell."
