If you are a human being with attractions that lean towards women, chances are you have spent a lot of time thinking about the delicate art of eating vagina. It's not easy! But it can be very rewarding if done correctly. Women are complex creatures, however, and based on my limited life experience, we are all quite different from one another. As a lesbian I find this confusing enough, so I can't even imagine what it must be like for straight guys. Luckily for all of us, porn star Nina Hartley has taken it upon herself to teach a cunnilungus class at the LA Gay & Lesbian center, and even more luckily, Megan Koester from Vice decided to take this course herself and see what she could learn from the purveyor of pussy.
Koester's hilarious account describes not only the techniques that Hartley suggests, but also gives us a carefully observed psychological reading of her varied classmates, which as a fellow writer I can very much relate to. If you feel so inclined, the entire article can be found here, complete with her fun diagrams and notes.

I could go on for days about the nuances and complexities of pleasing a woman, but I feel as though this deserves a much longer series (which you may actually see if I get annoyed enough about the lack of information on this topic--and I have pretty much reached this point). For now I will say that, despite its particular shortcomings, I'm thrilled to hear that a class like this exists (which shows an acknowledgment of our collective lack of pussy-eating confidence), that people are willing to attend it (which shows that there are people willing to admit said ignorance and educate themselves), and that hopefully other classes like this exist or are in the process of being formed. Supply and demand, people, it's a tale as old as time. I'm also just happy to hear that oral pleasure for women is being regarded more and more as a "good and necessary thing" as well as a "thing that needs addressing" if we are to advance as a society that treats our womenfolk with respect and equality and deserving of all the earthly pleasures they are capable of receiving. Getting off the soapbox now, but stay tuned for more on this topic when I find this class myself and can report from the front lines.
