In a quiet moment in the workroom, a few of the queens of Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race share their stories surrounding last year's tragic shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando.
While getting ready for the week's challenge, Eureka asks Trinity Taylor, who's from Orlando, Florida, about what happened. A teary-eyed Trinity shares the story of one of her coworkers who was the mother of someone who passed.

Cynthia Lee Fontaine was set to perform at Pulse on the night of the shooting but had to reschedule at the last minute.

One of the queen's friends, Martin Benitez Torres, actually called Cynthia a few hours before her scheduled performance. "You're supposed to have a show," he told Cynthia over the phone. "That's why I came here tonight." Martin stuck around the club despite Cynthia's absence and died later that evening.

"We never expect that a tragedy like this happen in our community," an emotional Cynthia said. "We thought we finally built a safe place."
