Mark Berryhill, the CEO of Pride's parent company equalpride, contemplates the importance of Pride Month this year.
Dear Friends and Allies,
As we enter the month of June, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude as we not only celebrate Pride Month but also commemorate the one-year anniversary of equalpride. It has been an extraordinary journey for us, reclaiming our place as an LGBTQ+ owned and operated company, and I am thrilled to reaffirm our commitment to championing and amplifying the voices from our diverse and united LGBTQ+ community.
Pride Month holds a special significance for all of us. It is a time when we honor the bravery and resilience of those who have fought for LGBTQ+ rights throughout history and continue to do so today. It is a time to celebrate our identities, express our authentic selves, and stand in solidarity with each other.
At equalpride, we understand the power of representation and the importance of creating an inclusive and affirming space for all. We firmly believe that diversity is not just a buzzword, but an essential ingredient for fostering creativity, innovation, and success. Our commitment to being LGBTQ+ owned and operated is not just symbolic; it is a driving force behind everything we do.
In the past year, we have made significant strides toward our goal of creating positive change. We have partnered with LGBTQ+ organizations, supported local initiatives, and provided resources to promote equality and acceptance. However, we recognize that there is still much work to be done.
As we embark on this second year of equalpride, we are committed to pushing the boundaries further, challenging societal norms, and advocating for the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community. We will continue to amplify marginalized voices, uplift queer artists, entrepreneurs, and activists, and work towards a world where everyone can live authentically and with dignity.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible team, our partners, and our community for their unwavering support. Your passion, resilience, and dedication inspire us every day. Together, we will continue to create a world where every LGBTQ+ individual can thrive and be celebrated.
Happy Pride Month!
Mark Berryhill
