Oreo Launches Pride Cookie Alongside PFLAG Partnership

Oreo's Pride Pack is here!

Pride season is nigh, and Oreo is showing their support for the LGBTQ+ with a limited edition pack.

"Oreo is committed to fostering inclusivity and championing the idea that, collectively, we can help make the world more accepting, affirming, and compassionate place," the press release reads. "Oreo is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to the LGBTQ+ community through our partnership with PFLAG National with the limited edition OREO Pride Chocolate Sandwich Cookies."

The "ally pack" cookies will feature chocolate wafers that have been embossed with the world "PROUD" on one side.

The cookies follow a short film Oreo released earlier this year that angered conservatives. The Note, directed by Alice Wu, follows a son practicing coming out to his extended family with the support of his mother. “Coming out doesn’t happen just once,” the brand’s account tweeted. “It’s a journey that needs love and courage every step of the way.”

“We’re proud to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and encourage active allyship today and every day, and excited to introduce the OREO brand’s first official Pride pack, made in collaboration with our friends at PFLAG National,” said Olympia Portale, Oreo's Marketing Director. “Words of love are needed now more than ever. This pack is our love letter to the LGBTQ+ community and we hope that allies everywhere take advantage of the open space to write their own messages of support and share with family and friends.”

Starting May 11th, the limited-edition cookies will be available for pre-sale online at OREO.com/Pride and the cookies will also be available at retailers nationwide starting May 18th, while supplies last.
