14 Things You Should ALWAYS Bring to Pride

Your party pants, for starters.

As the summer draws near, as does Pride season, and with a site of the same name, we thought it necessary to prepare you properly for any and every Pride across the country.

As with any festival, there is a list of essentials you must not forget when heading over the rainbow. Here are 14 things you should always remember to bring when attending Pride.

1. Your party pants

Not like your actual pants (because who wears pants at Pride?), but bring a fun-loving, upbeat attitude!

2. Sunscreen

Peeling at Pride isn’t pretty. A gnarly sunburn is in your future if you don’t lotion-up.Bring2

3. Patience

You'll need lots of patience when dealing with the crowds, and especially when dealing with those a**holes waving homophobic signs.

4. Condoms

There will be barrels handed out to you throughout the fairgrounds, but come prepared just in case!

5. Cash

The line for the ATM is worse than the line for the bar.

6. A Pride flag

Show ‘em your true colors!

7. A sick playlist

A Pride is not a Pride without a little pregame playlist! Get in the mood with your song(s) of the summer.

8. An open mind

Remember that LGBT encompasses a wide variety of genders, sexualities, races, and walks of life — not just your own.

9. Water

Vodka waters don’t count. Stay hydrated!

10. A fanny pack

I would say backpack, but those are so 2000 and late.

11. A cute AF sign

Ask for hugs or make a statement. Either way, you’re standing up for LOVE.Bring1

12. Your friends

Surrounding yourself with an accepting group of BFFs is ESSENTIAL!Bring2

13. A colorful outfit

I would inform you of Pride’s dress code, but there really isn’t one. Go balls to the wall. Be colorful, be scandalous, be conservative. Be whatever you want.

14. And last but not least...BRING YOUR PRIDE

Feel proud of who and what you are, and what everyone in your community has accomplished!
