In last night’s live episode of The Late Show, Jon Stewart joined Stephen Colbert in an outlandish musical number to encourage you to vote. But they don’t want you to vote for just anyone; they want you to vote for Hillary Clinton. As they both mention in the video, Hillary and Donald are not on par. There is no comparison. Trump is far, far worse.
In the skit, a little orphan girl interrupts Stephen Colbert, crying, telling him she’s too afraid to vote. After Stephen placates her, explaining to her the importance of voting, Jon comes in, donning a red top hat and a sash bearing his name. With an over-the-top, thick southern accent, he plays devil’s advocate, first explaining why it’s not necessary to vote, and then advocating that we make a political statement by abstaining from voting. But of course, in the end, they both encourage you to get out to the polls and vote.
Before I spoil too much of the video, check out the hilarious skit here. Oh, and there’s a surprise musical number by the one and only actor, Javier Muñoz, from the musical Hamilton.
