Breaking news: Raven-Symoné’s foot is still planted firmly in her mouth.

In case anyone was wondering if Raven-Symoné’s foot was still planted firmly in her mouth, the answer, apparently, is yes. During Symoné’s appearance on The View, Whoopi Goldberg introduced a segment on racist assumptions Americans make based on names, citing a recent study in the journal Evolution and Human Behavior. Despite the seriousness of the study's results, and the serious implication those results have for black job seekers, Symoné once again began her uncomfortable descent into the Land of Hauntingly Stupid Statements.

“Can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory’? Because I think that’s a better word,” started Symoné. At this point, anyone familiar with Raven-Symoné’s long history of ridiculous comments is probably cringing. For those who are unfamiliar, Symoné has had a long struggle with foot-in-mouth disease, from telling Oprah, “I’m not an African-American; I’m an American,” to attempting to course correct in an interview with Alicia Quarles by stating she was, “from every continent in Africa.”

Symoné continued, “And I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in the video. I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you.”

Whoopi Goldberg’s earnestly upset reaction as Symoné continues to cluelessly laugh is one of the few bearable moments in the segment. Watch the full clip below:
