Actor Kit Williamson shares tips on where to indulge your appetite in Las Vegas.
Newlyweds Kit Williamson and John Halbach explore an array of options OUT for a weekend getaway in the Entertainment Capital of the World – Las Vegas. From fine dining and indulgent spa treatments to poolside R&R and nighttime revelry, Kit and John experience all the excitement Las Vegas has to offer.
Delano Las Veags features a number of convenient dining options for every meal, offering incredible culinary variety as well as ambiance for any mood. Enjoy a refined breakfast on the first floor at Della’s Kitchen or take in the view from the top with drinks at Skyfall and fine dining at Rivea.
Della’s is a farm to table breakfast and lunch spot with urban flare, a short walk from Delano's lobby. Highlights include hand pressed juices, and an innovative approach to classic dishes such as Smoked Pork Benedict and Peaches & Cream French Toast.
Kit’s Take:
John had the Green Pasture, with Kale, Pineapple, Cucumber, Celery, Ginger and Lemon juice, and I had the Mojave Sunrise, a spicy eye opener with Cayenne, Carrot, Ginger, Apple and Lemon juice. My omelet was great, and John couldn’t stop raving about the Blue Crab Benedict – a surprising take on the classic on brioche with spinach, roasted tomato and artisan Brie.
Take in Delano’s 180 degree views of the desert and the strip with a cocktail at sunset at Skyfall Lounge. The lounge fills up quickly on the weekends, so it’s important to make a reservation in advance. All of the cocktails at Skyfall are designed by the famous mixologists at Proprietors LLC, best known for Death & Co. in New York and Honeycut in Los Angeles. At the beginning of the evening, Skyfall has a laid back, lounge vibe, perfect for a romantic date, and the tempo picks up with live DJs spinning starting at 9pm offering more of a nightclub atmosphere.
Kit’s Take:
John ordered a very Vegas appropriate tequila cocktail called the “Peepshow” which was completely translucent (how risqué) with St. Germaine, Blanc Vermouth and yuzu bitters, and I had a spicy bourbon cocktail called the “Cowboy Hunting” that was made with Thai chili, amaretto and lemon juice.
3. Rivea
Like Skyfall, Rivea boasts incredible views of the city, and chic blue and white decor selected by the acclaimed Parisian design duo Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku. From internationally celebrated Chef Alain Ducasse, the food is inspired by the markets of Provence and Italy and aims to emulate the spirit of the Riviera. Executive Chef Bruno Riou has created an incredible menu of fresh, simple plates, perfect for sharing, with a focus on quality, seasonal ingredients.
Kit’s Take:
John loved the scallops and the standouts from my vegetarian meal were the roasted panisse, a crispy, surprising take on chickpea fries, the burrata and heritage tomato salad and the potato gnocchi with sage and parmesan. Dessert was also incredible, and the tiramisu is the best we’ve ever had.
