PRIDE NEWSLETTER - 12/13/24

Hi Fam 🌈

Happy FriGAY the 13th to all of you who observe!

Yes, today is a day to celebrate the spooky (and Kevin Bacon in them short shorts), but there are also plenty of reasons to laugh and kiki this week, like over strap-on strife, tire-changing triumphs, and MAGA bigot Nancy Mace being made a whole fool of — as she should be.

We also learned a lot about ourselves this week like, well, we REALLY like cruising, and Grindr kept us very busy this year — plus we also have a few things we need to unlearn, too. But hey what is life if not an opportunity for growth (and swiping right)?

Once again it’s been quite a week!

Plus, check out what the staff of PRIDE have been up to this week below! ⬇️

Cheers!

🏳️‍🌈 PRIDE IN THE STREETS! 🏳️‍🌈

Jade Delgado (left), PRIDE's social media girlie, attended Out Magazine’s Out100 30th anniversary party in Hollywood to celebrate the inspiring queer and trans trailblazers featured on this year’s list. Jade and her partner met two of our absolute faves, Katy O'Brian and her wife Kylie Chi. Katy and Kylie were so sweet and chatted about how fun it is to play recreational sports in LA, their recent trip to London, and tattoos. Swoon.

🏳️‍🌈 PRIDE IN THE STREETS! 🏳️‍🌈

PRIDE’s Ricky Cornish covered the Out100 this week and spoke with notable honorees like Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tom Daley, Orville Peck, Symone, and many more. We are in queer media, after all!

Here’s what we’re watching, listening, and vibing to this weekend!

🎥 Film: Maria

Bisexual goddess Angelina Jolie stars as real-life opera singer Maria Callas in the final years of her life, living in Paris in the 1970s. The costumes, the glamour, the melodrama, the Angelina of it all. Of course, we are seated. Streaming now on Netflix.

📺 Stream & Chill: No Good Deed

You wanna laugh? An evil laugh? Then don't miss this darkly hilarious new series starring Lisa Kudrow, Linda Cardellini, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Ray Romano, Matt Rogers and so many more. Streaming now on Netflix.

🎧 In Our Ears: Julien Baker & Torres, “Sugar in the Tank”

We love a good croon and we love a queer power duet, so obviously were obsessively listening to Sugar in the Tank, which sees Boygenius singer Julien Baker and Torres teaming for a country ballad about the women they love. Swoon.
