PRIDE NEWSLETTER - 3/28/25

rachiepants

Hi Fam 🌈

At this moment, everything feels political. That can be exhausting but it can also be hopeful, as is the case with the sophomore season of the queer comedy series Survival of the Thickest. That the show focuses on a woman taking on the system of oppression with help and support from her queer and trans chosen family is not lost on two of its stars, Michelle Buteau and Peppermint. This week, PRIDE caught up with both of them to talk about the queer joy and activism at the heart of their hilarious show.

But that’s not all! PRIDE was also at the GLAAD Awards in Los Angeles where we chatted with many out and proud stars on the red carpet. We also had a (shady) kiki with Bob the Drag Queen and got all the steamy tea on Olly Alexander’s new album.

Finally, we welcomed some new members into our rainbow family, joined the front line of the resistance with images from the Lesbians Unite protest in NYC, asked some tough but necessary questions about the leather community, and cheered on our favorite lesbian sports power couples!

What a week!

Cheers!

PRIDE ON OUR SCREENS 👀

God Save the Queens; Mid-Century Modern; Kali Uchis;

Indican; Hulu; Michael Kovac/Getty Images for Variety

Here’s what we’re watching, listening, and vibing to this weekend!

🎥 Film: God Save the Queens

Alaska Thunderfuck leads an all-star cast including Peter Facinelli, Jordin Hinson, Juaquin de Almas, and Michele Visage in this comedy that follows a group of Los Angeles drag stars who find themselves trapped at the same therapy retreat together. Out now on digital.

📺 Stream & Chill: Mid-Century Modern

Think the Golden Girls, but make it gay-er and you’ll catch the vibe of this must-watch new comedy starring Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane, Nathan Lee Graham, and the late, great Linda Lavin and follows a group of friends living together in Palm Springs, CA. Streaming now on Hulu.

🎧 In Our Ears: 'Sunshine & Rain...' by Kali Uchis

The vibes are impeccable in Kali Uchi's latest dreamy bop, ‘Sunshine & Rain…’ which sees the bisexual songstress lending her harmonious vocals to what is sure to be a sapphic make-out fave.

THIS IS WHAT PRIDE LOOKS LIKE ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
